Valentine took over the reigns of Dawn Valley Press in 2015, reviving the publishing company from several years’ dormancy. In addition to running the company, he works as a freelance writer (valthewriter.com) and blogs about small-town life as the father of two young children (SmallTownDad.com). Val is the author of several books of his own, including his most recent, The Chronicles of Boogieface & The Animal (Bridge Street Books, 2018).
Nancy E. James, Founding Editor
Nancy E. James is a retired assistant professor of English from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., where she founded DVP in 1976. Prior to this, Nancy had edited (with Mary Webber Balazs of Virginia Military Institute) I, That Am Ever Stranger: Poems on Women’s Experience. Today Nancy serves in an advisory role to DVP, as well as one of its authors.
